The textile sculpture correlates with interiority, sensation and physicality. Dyed with rust and catechu, a natural dye made from the bark powder of the brown acacia, references open up both to the mineral and to organic compounds, some of which we also carry within us, in our bodies. The steel consturction refers to the structure of a mine shaft, recalls the process of digging into the depths, and links this to the question of points of contact between subterranean landscapes and our own existence.
Die textile Skulptur korreliert mit Innerlichkeit, Empfindung und Körperlichkeit. Eingefärbt mit Rost und Catechu, einem natürlichen Farbstoff aus dem Rindenpulver der braunen Akazie, eröffnen sich Bezüge sowohl zum Mineralischen als auch zu organischen Verbindungen, die wir zum Teil auch in uns, in unserem Körper tragen. Die Stahlkonstruktion verweist auf die Struktur eines Bergwerksschachtes, erinnert an den Prozess des Grabens in die Tiefe und verknüpft dies mit der Frage nach Berührungspunkten zwischen unterirdischen Landschaften und unserer eigenen Existenz.
