In the encounter of fragile form, toxic plastic and the ancient sediment of lignite, the ambivalent relationships between man and nature, reverence and destruction, dependence and domination are revealed. The reference to geological periods of time far beyond our imagination illustrates the sometimes unmanageable entanglements between human actions and the matter that shapes us on the one hand and surrounds us on the other.
Im Zusammenspiel aus fragiler Form, toxischem Kunststoff und dem uraltem Sediment der Braunkohle zeigt sich das ambivalente Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Natur, zwischen Verehrung und Zerstörung, zwischen Abhängigkeit und Beherrschung. Der Verweis auf geologische Zeiträume, die weit über unsere Vorstellungskraft hinausreichen, verdeutlicht die teils unüberschaubaren Verquickungen zwischen menschlichen Handlungen und der Materie, die uns zum Einen formt und zum Anderen umgibt.
